The logo of Phos (Fos) International Charitable Foundation comes from the nominative form of the Greek word φως (light). The logo is a transliteration (Greek letters written into English) of the Greek letters phi (Φ), omega (ω), and sigma (ς). Therefore, Phos International might be called “Light” International when translating the Greek word into English. This name, Phos International, was created by Michael Hansen, co-founder of Phos International, who has studied Greek and Koine Greek (the original written language of the New Testament) for many years.
